Yes, Every Agency must assure that below mentioned physical standards are not infringed:
Weight of the candidates according to stand table of height and weight;
Height for male candidates should be 160 cms for male and for female should be 150 cms; Provided that a person belonging to the Gorkhas, or Nepalies or Sikkimese or Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe are exempted from this criteria and have relaxation of height by 5 cms.
Chest measurements upto 80 cms with an expansion of 4 cms and for females no minimum requirement for chest measurement ;
Applicant must be free from defect of eye and hearing;
Applicant must be free from knock knee and flat foot, he/she able to run one kilometer in 6 minutes for the age group between 18 to 30 years and for the age group between 31 to 40 years it should be 8 minutes and applicant must be capable to walk one mile within 15 minutes for the age group between 41 to 50 years and within 17 minutes for the age group 51 and above;
Applicant shall not be suffering from any disease, which may affect the physical or mental capabilities in performing the security duties;
Applicant shall not be suffering form any physical handicap or deformity, which hamper in good performance of duties as security guard;
The candidate must have presence of mind and strength to perform searches, handle objects and use force for restraining the individuals in case of emergencies.
Yes, Every Agency shall apply for renewal of the license not less than 90 days before the date of expiry of the period of validity thereof
Yes, every state has specified different rates. For example in Delhi below mentioned are the rates.
Rs. 5000/- if the private security agency is operating in one district;
Rs. 10,000/- if the agency is operating in more than one but upto five districts;
Rs. 25,000/- if it is operating in the whole of National Capital Territory of Delhi.
No, PSARA license is State specific, if applicant wants to operate in different states than he/she must have to apply for the license at that particular state in a manner specified by Controlling Authority.
Yes, some states provide the facility to apply the license for 5 years of validity for example in Delhi the license shall be valid for a period of 5 years.
Yes, Applicant may withdraw the application, however the fees paid for the grant of license shall be non-refundable.
