EPFO PANDEMIC ADVANCE FACILITY
EPFO recently introduced the “Pandemic Advance Facility” for employees. With a public health issue coronavirus outbreak it has been declared pandemic for the entire country. The employees working in an establishment or factories across India and who are member of Employees Provident Fund Scheme 1952 is eligible to take the benefit of non-refundable advance. The Employees Provident Fund Scheme, 1952 has been amended to provide the benefit of non- refundable advance to the EPF members.
WITHDRAWL LIMIT: The member can withdraw the amount whichever is less–
75% of the amount standing to members credit in the EPF account
Or
3 months of basic salary and Dearness Allowance
PRE-REQUISITE FOR AVILING ONLINE SERVICES:
To withdraw the amount following must be satisfied before:
1. The UAN should be activated
2. Aadhar number should be linked with UAN
3. Bank account should be seeded with the UAN
PROCESS to WITHDRAW THE NON-REFUNDABLE AMOUNT:
The non-refundable amount will be withdrawal in the following manner:
1. Visit the members UAN portal
2. Login with your UAN and the password
3. Select online services and click on claim form
4. Enter the last 4 digits of the bank account and verify the same. Once verification is done you can proceed with the online claim
5. Click on PF advance form 31 and the reason of withdrawal will be “outbreak of pandemic COVID-19”.
6. Enter the advance details and the address
7. 75% or 3 months salary or requested amount, whichever is lower is automatically taken by the system.
8. Once the claim is processed it will be credited in the bank account of the member.
The scheme is effective from 28.03.2020 and it has been directed to the PF officers to honour the request within 3 days.
